It’s been some time since I’ve visited this blog, and I feel compelled to check in and say hello. The past month and a half has been challenging on so many levels, but it has also been full of awesome things like a trip to Hanoi and a Bjork concert and an amazing act of generosity by one of my friends for another of my friends — and the two haven’t even met.
Plus, I’m working on a fun creative project that I’ll disclose more fully in the months to come. In the meantime, I’ll pitch my friend’s instead. Summer Block, a hilarious young poet, has created a literary comic site called The Foghorn, and she’s looking for submissions. Come on, writer friends, you know you’ve got it. Check out a piece of mine that is on the site here. I actually wrote it nearly seven years ago. It made the final cut for an NPR contest, but then was orphaned when it didn’t make the cutest baby sound.
Let it gurgle and babble and sing now through the fog!
