Hi, I’m Megan. For the past five years, I’ve dedicated myself to independently studying Mandarin Chinese, traveling Asia and producing good English copy as both a freelancer and a full-time editor.
I’ve found some time along the way to work part time as a jazz singer, high school basketball coach, cartoon voice, photographer, yoga performer, radio show host, kindergarten teacher and translator.
Currently, I am a senior editor at Newsweek Select in Shanghai. I shaped my journalistic craft at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The other stuff I picked up along the way. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I received my first paycheck for writing when I was 17 — a decade ago — and have been scrapping ever since.
